A Little Owl with Big Friendsgiving Wishes

Today’s card is full of autumn vibes and a warm Friendsgiving wish. I combined several of Spellbinders’ September Clubs to create this cozy fall scene, and I love how well all the pieces worked together! That’s the beauty of the All-Clubs Crate, which consistently gives you a box FULL of coordinating products. A crafters dream, for sure!

Let’s Break it Down

There’s something about owls that always makes me smile, so I was especially happy to include this little guy. He’s part of the Small Die of the Month, Owl Be There. The set includes the tree stump which is the perfect spot for him to sit on. There’s also a variety of leaves, mushrooms and a moon & stars for the sky.

I added pumpkins and a tree from the Large Die of the Month, Sunflowers & Showers. The combination of warm fall colors makes this card feel like a crisp autumn day. This die set includes SO much fun and includes a coat-wearing girl with an umbrella, sunflowers, a picket fence, leaves, and more.

Texture Galore!

One of my favorite non-club items and most-used embossing folder is called Whimsical Skies, which creates beautiful swirls that remind me of a windy fall day. It’s part of the Whimsical Village Collection by Vicky Papaioanno. I’ll admit that I haven’t given that collection my full attention yet, but I intend to remedy that very soon! I’ve used the embossing folder several times, as in a card from this previous post: Santa’s New Ride. If you’re needing a versatile embossing folder, this one is it!

Not to be outdone by Whimsical Skies, I also used the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, Autumn Bark. It was used on the green forest floor, adding some much-needed texture which always adds visual interest.

A Friendsgiving Feast

Of course, I couldn’t resist adding a little Friendsgiving fun with the sentiment “Happy Friendsgiving.” This came from the Press & Foil Club of the Month, Thankful Friends, which is an adorable set filled with animal friends gathering with their favorite Thanksgiving foods.

Four Clubs, One Cozy Card

I really enjoy mixing and matching the different Spellbinders Club products. Sometimes the pieces from individual clubs can be used in so many different ways and combining them gives me even more possibilities. For this card, I used four of the September Clubs to bring the entire scene together.

There’s just something about fall cards that I love—the colorful leaves, cozy scenes, and warm autumn colors. Add a cute owl to the mix, and I’m definitely happy! The only thing missing is a pumpkin spice latte’! 🙂
