If you have fond memories of playing with paper dolls, then Allison Frazier’s Summer Camp & Fall Adventures Bundles might be exactly what you need! Today’s card shows off the best-dressed fox who’s ready for a day on the farm.
Let’s Play Dress-Up!
I had so much fun putting together this card using the new Fall Adventures Bundle. These dies are a fun addition to the Summer Camp Bundle (first introduced here) and are designed to work with the critters from the Trailside Trio and Woodland Trio die sets. I love when a collection gives you even more ways to use products you already have!
Adding a Foxy Farmer
For this card, I chose the fox from the Trailside Trio Dies and gave him a completely new look for autumn. Using the Harvest Style dies, he’s dressed in overalls, a farmer’s hat, and boots. I think he looks pretty darn cute all dressed up for some fall fun!
Creating a Scene for Fall Adventures
To create the scene, I used a tan plaid paper as a background along with a mossy green base for the ground. The green was embossed with Autumn Bark 3D Embossing Folder (from September 2026 Clubs). Next, I used the Harvest Days dies to cut a few bales of hay and a cute little crow to perch on top. Completing the scene with some pumpkins and a rake, this cute fox is ready to work!
Choosing the Sentiment
And then there’s the sentiment. “’Tis the season to be fall-y” was just too perfect to pass up and is from the Hero Arts Autumn Greetings stamp. I had a hard time choosing which sentiment to use, as this one stamp has many options! I love that the Sentiment Strips Fancy Dies makes quick work of cutting all of them out. Anything that saves time in the craft room is a winner, and this set fits the bill!
Last but not Least
A card isn’t complete until the inside has been dressed up a bit. In today’s case, I added a vanilla panel sized 5 1/4″ x 4″ to the inside along with a strip of the tan gingham from the card front. This mimics the front of the card and helps tie it all together!
Using a black Micron pen (size 01), I used a shaky hand to draw in a squiggly frame. There’s no right or wrong way to do this, but it adds a nice touch. This is one time that having Essential Tremors works to my advantage-LOL!
Finally, I placed two pumpkins in the bottom left corner and added another sentiment from Autumn Greetings stamp set. It says “Happy Thanksgiving”, leaving room for a hand-written note.
A Seasonal Transformation
What I especially like about the Fall Adventures Bundle is how easily they can transform the critters from the Summer Camp Bundle into completely different seasonal characters. It’s almost like playing with paper dolls, giving your favorite little critters a new wardrobe and sending them off on another adventure. I’m crossing my fingers that Allison Frazier has more additions in store for us. 🙂
I’m already thinking about all the other fall scenes I could create with these dies. But for now, this little farmer fox is ready to rake some leaves, round up those hay bales, and enjoy everything we love about fall!
