I’ve always been drawn to quilt and sewing-inspired cards. Quilts tell stories through color, pattern, and design, and I love capturing that same creative spirit in my projects. As I was browsing through my stash recently, I came across the color palette from my post, Another Beautiful Piece in Life’s Quilt. And while today’s card isn’t totally a quilt theme, I knew I wanted to re-use it for today’s creation. The result is a card that’s “sew fun” and filled with cozy, handmade charm.
Today’s card fits right in with a challenge over at 613 Avenue Create. Anything craft or hobby related, and I love that it’s not limited to cards! Check it out if you’re looking for loads of inspiration. 🙂

Postage Collage for the Win!
For this card, I started with the Waffle Flower Postage Collage Die and Postage Collage Sew Fun Stencils. After stenciling the postage images, I stamped some postage marks and such with Postage Collage Sew Fun Stamp Set. I carefully cut the stamps apart and positioned four of them across the card front.

To continue the quilting/sewing theme, I created the background using the Meandering Texture Die. The stitched pattern adds wonderful texture and gives the card the appearance of a handcrafted quilt without being too busy.
Accent with Sew Fun Dies
I finished the design with a sentiment from the Quilted Hug Sentiments stamp set which reads “Sew glad we’re friends”. Additionally, I added in several die-cut sewing accents from the Sew Fun Dies. These small details help reinforce the sewing theme and add a bit of shine and dimension to the finished card.

To summarize
One of my favorite things about this project is how the color palette ties it back to an earlier design while still feeling fresh and new. And isn’t that sweet cat so full of personality? She just makes me want to snuggle into the scene!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope this card inspires you to pull out your favorite quilting or sewing-themed products and create your own stitched masterpiece.
