There’s just something about soft spring colors that makes Easter crafting extra special. For today’s card, I used February’s Large Die of the Month – Spring Specs from Spellbinders to create the sweetest bunny scene with a soft lavender color palette. Ears to a wonderful Easter!
I built the card around a calming lavender background to give it that fresh spring feel. The soft purple tones feel light and airy- perfect for Easter- and they really help the focal point stand out.
The star of the card is this adorable gray bunny, cut using the Spring Specs dies and Fog ColorWheel Cardstock. I adore this very soft gray color when I want subtlety and a “barely-there” shade.
Keeping the design simple, I dressed up the bunny with delicate flowers for a festive, springtime touch. The floral accents add a botanical element and just the right amount of detail without overwhelming the clean layout. A soft yellow scarf is tied around the bunny’s neck.
A Bunny Full of Personality
This die set is easy to assemble and includes some trendy bunny sunglasses which I opted to leave off for today’s card. The bunny sits on a 4″ x 6″ piece of Lavender ColorWheel Cardstock.

Adding extra texture was simple with the Shady Leaves 3D Embossing Folder. I started by placing a 5″ x 7″ panel of Fairytale ColorWheel Cardstock inside the folder and running it through my die-cutting machine. The beautiful leafy impression instantly brought the background to life. Once embossed, I adhered the lavender panel and bunny to the textured piece, then mounted everything onto a folded 5″ x 7″ card base to complete the design.
The Perfect Sentiment for a Wonderful Easter
The finishing touch is the playful sentiment: “Ears to a Wonderful Easter“, which is from Ears to Spring stamp set.
A good pun always makes a card more memorable, and this one pairs perfectly with the sweet bunny design. It keeps the card lighthearted while still feeling warm and heartfelt.
Why I Love This Design
This card came together with just a few key elements — soft color, layered dies, and a charming sentiment. The lavender theme keeps everything cohesive, while the gray bunny and florals add interest and depth.

It’s a simple yet wonderful Easter card that would brighten anyone’s day. Sometimes all you need is a sweet bunny, a handful of flowers, and a little spring color magic. Stay tuned for another bunny card-complete with those trendy sunglasses that I mentioned! And if you need more springtime inspiration, see my previous post: Let’s Step Into Spring.
Until next time,
