Valentine cards are the perfect excuse to play with something sweet & adorable—and Lawn Fawn’s A Mole Lot of Love absolutely delivers! It was also perfect for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge: #213 “Lots of Heart”.

Creating a Blended Background
To make this card, I started with a pink panel of card stock and then shaded it with some Distress Oxide Inks in Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves and Villainous Potion. I then splattered it with black paint. Next came the really fun part- decorating my prepared card base!
I wanted to create something a little unexpected, so I paired A Mole Lot of Love & it’s Add-On stamp set with the Slide On Over Maze die to build an underground shaker card. The maze die creates winding tunnels beneath the surface, which felt just right for a mole-themed design. By turning those tunnels into a shaker element, the card instantly came to life with movement and sparkle.

Stamp, Cut & Color
I stamped the images from A Mole Lot of Love & A Mole Lot of Love Add-On using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto white card stock. I also stamped a heart shaped word bubble and a couple smaller ones from All the Speech Bubbles. The mole stamps include some adorable sentiments, which I added to the word bubbles. After cutting out the images, I used my Ohuhu alcohol markers and colored everything in.
The little moles are busy spreading love below ground, making this card feel so playful. I love how the maze die adds depth—when the shaker bits slide through the tunnels, it’s like you’re peeking into a secret underground world. A clear window keeps everything visible while still letting the stamped images shine.

This card was such a joy to make and would be perfect for Valentine’s Day, an anniversary, or even just a “thinking of you” card for someone special. If you’re looking to add a bit of surprise and a lot of charm to your next project, this combo is truly a mole lot of fun. 💗
