Sparkle & Shine New Year’s Card for Lawnfawnatics Challenge #211
Hello, crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a New Year’s card created for Lawnfawnatics Challenge #211: Sparkle & Shine, and this card is all about celebrating under a glowing night sky.

For the main scene, I used Lawn Fawn’s Upon a Star stamp set. I love how perfectly it captures that magical feeling with the critters looking up at the sky as the year comes to a close.

The critters were colored using a combination of Copic & Ohuhu Alcohol Markers.
To bring in the sparkle and shine element of the challenge, I added fireworks using Lawn Fawn’s Fireworks Hot Foil Plate. The hot foiling instantly elevates the design—those shimmering bursts light up the sky and feel just like real fireworks popping at midnight. Depending on how the light hits the card, the shine really comes alive!

I used Spellbinders Glimmer Machine and Rainbow Confetti foil with the Fireworks Hot Foil Plate and the results were amazing! Lawn Fawn is retiring this foil plate, so get it while you still can!!

For the sentiment, I combined a greeting from Tree Before & Afters with custom lettering from Henry Jr. ABC’s stamps. Mixing these together made it easy to create a personalized New Year’s message that fits perfectly into the scene while keeping that classic Lawn Fawn look.
This card was such a joy to create, and I love how the soft stamped images balance with the bold, shiny fireworks. It’s a fun reminder that a little sparkle can go a long way—especially when welcoming a brand new year.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and be sure to check out the Lawnfawnatics Challenge #211 gallery for more Sparkle & Shine inspiration. You can also see more sparkle & shine with my hot foiled cards in this previous post!
Happy crafting and Happy New Year!
