Hi Friends! Sorry for the long stretch between posts, but I had a good reason. I caught some unnamed virus that really knocked me down. I tested negative for the flu and X-rays showed no pneumonia, but whatever it was, it was NASTY and took nearly two weeks to recover from. I am finally on the mend, back in my craft room and ready for a challenge!
Today’s card was inspired by challenges at The Color Hues and Lawn Fawnatics. After being so sick, I felt like my creativity had hit a brick wall and I knew I needed some direction and motivation. A color challenge is a great starting point! For the BINGO challenge I ended up working diagonally, starting with B (interactive) and progressing through to the bottom right corner.

Ready for a challenge means picking some paper!
Having only two colors to work with can be pretty limiting, but I instantly knew which paper I would start off with! Using the Platform Pop Up dies from Lawn Fawn, I cut the base from Bitsy Blooms, Forget-Me-Not paper. This paper has a beautiful soft blue background with white and yellow daisies spread throughout.
Lawn Fawn always has great video tutorials for their products and I often find myself re-watching the assembly process for some of their interactive dies, like the Platform Pop Up. If you’d like to see how this card goes together, watch this video. However, it’s really quite simple and I should remember to use it more often!!
Choosing the stamps and coordinating dies…
With the use of Stitched Wavy Borders dies, I cut the “water” from a blueberry colored card stock and trimmed each piece to fit to Platform pieces. Next, I stamped the ducks from Rub a Dub Dub and Rub a Dub Dub Flip Flop using Memento Black Tuxedo ink. After die cutting, I used Ohuhu Alcohol Markers to quickly color them in. The marker colors I used are: Y030, Y040, Y050 & Y180.

Once the ducks were ready, I glued them into their places behind the wavy water, saving a few for the front of the platform.
In addition to the Platform Pop Up dies, I used Platform Pop Up Cloud Inserts (for the clouds), Platform Pop Up Add-On (for the background) and Platform Pop Up Hillside Wrap Around (for the front).
Completing the BINGO challenge..
To create some depth to the clouds, I ink blended some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink here and there and then tucked in a bright yellow sun between the clouds. This was the final part of the BINGO challenge!

Finally, to decorate the front, I cut mats with coordinating dies from the Hillside Wrap Around. On the two blue mats, I cut waves into them using Ocean Waves Accent dies. This allowed me to tuck the ducks into the water!
A sentiment was stamped in blueberry colored ink, using words from Rub a Dub Dub stamp set. The wavy border was a scrap that resulted from die-cutting the waves. I always love it when trash turns into treasure! 🙂
This 3D Platform Pop Up card folds flat and fits into an envelope! How cool is that!
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
Until next time,
~Krista
