Who says slippers can’t have personality? Today I’m sharing not one, but two cozy and whimsical cards made with the Cozy Toes Friends Add-Ons from Spellbinders. This clever die set is full of mix-and-match charm — and with just a few creative tweaks, you can take it from magical unicorns to down-to-earth horses in no time!
Available today to Spellbinders club members (and on November 6th for non-club members), these Cozy Toes Friends Add-On dies & Cozy Toes Friends Sentiment stamps will give you even more amazing options! This Add-On set was made to coordinate with the previously released die set, Cozy Toes Slippers which is still available. With monsters, a shark, reindeer, frog, cow, bunny and more, you’re going to want these in your collection! Get the COMPLETE COZY TOES BUNDLE for extra savings!
Card #1: Horse Cozy Toes Slippers
This idea came to me while playing around with the pieces from the Unicorn Add-On pieces. With just a few simple tweaks—omitting the horn and swapping in more natural tones—I transformed them into sweet little ponies. The result is just as charming but with a more rustic, barnyard feel that’s perfect for anyone who loves horses, cozy vibes, or both!

Creating the Slippers
I started by die-cutting the slipper bases & cuffs from Celestial ColorWheel Cardstock. I then die cut the horse pieces from Fawn, Acorn, Truffle, Cinnamon & Raven ColorWheel Cardstocks.
Building the Card
For the background, I wanted something that felt homey and inviting. A wood grain patterned paper created that “cozy at home” atmosphere. The ankles and pajama pants were die cut with the original Cozy Toes Slippers set. Cutting the ankles from Chiffon & the pants from a red paisley patterned paper gives it a cowboy-barnyard feel!
I added a sentiment from Cozy Toes Friends stamp set that says, “good friends are like well-loved slippers”.
The End Result
I love how these horse slippers bring a touch of personality to the Cozy Toes Collection. It’s proof that with a little imagination, you can take Spellbinders dies beyond their original theme and make something truly unique. Whether you’re crafting for a horse lover or just in the mood for something unexpected, these slippers are sure to make anyone smile!
Card #2: Unicorn Cozy Toes

Building the Unicorn
For my second card, I let the unicorn dies shine in all their whimsical glory — just as they were intended! In dreamy shades of lavender, pink, and sunshine yellow, these sparkly slippers are pure magic. They’re the perfect fit for the little princess (or unicorn lover!) in your life — full of charm, color, and just the right touch of fairytale fun.
Creating the Card
For the backdrop, I chose a soft pink-on-pink plaid pattern—sweet, simple, and perfectly cozy. To anchor the design, I added a 1.5” x 4.25” strip of woodgrain patterned paper, giving the scene a bit of natural warmth and texture, like slippers resting on a hardwood floor.

The sentiment comes from the Cozy Toes Friends stamp set and couldn’t be more fitting. I stamped it in crisp black ink onto pale yellow paper, so it pops just enough without stealing the spotlight. It reads, “You’ve been on my mind, consider this a warm hello,”—a gentle, heartfelt message that pairs beautifully with the cozy slipper theme.
Double the Fun
What I love most about the Cozy Toes Friends Add-Ons is their versatility. With the same die set, you can go from sweet and rustic to sparkly and magical — just by changing your colors and details. These little slippers are the perfect reminder that creativity has no limits, and sometimes the best ideas come when you think outside the (shoe) box!
In summary
With so many cute slipper characters, you’re going to want both Cozy Toes Slippers and it’s Add-On. I love how Spellbinders creates “add-on’s” for past collections, including Happy Hour and Happier Hour Collections that I first introduced here. Also the Beneath the Blue series that went with Whale in a Bottle, shown together in this previous post. Spellbinders continues to impress me with their over-the-top creativity!

Until next time,
~Krista
