Creating a Sweet Easter Scene with Sunny Studio’s Woolly Friends
Easter is the perfect time to create cheerful handmade cards filled with soft colors and adorable characters. Today I’m sharing an Easter card featuring some of my favorite products from Sunny Studio Stamps, including the charming Woolly Friends stamp set and the versatile Stitched Semi-Circle Dies. These elements come together to create a playful little Easter scene that feels bright, festive, and full of springtime charm.
I’m playing along with a couple card challenges: AAA Cards #309 and Just-Add-Ink #780. For the AAA Cards challenge I went with the center “spring” and then “lambs”. For Just-Add-Ink challenge, I used dies but no stencil.

Let’s Stamp It!
To start, I stamped the cute sheep images from the Woolly Friends stamp set onto white cardstock and colored them with alcohol markers. These fluffy little characters are just too adorable and work perfectly for Easter cards. After coloring, I carefully die-cut the images and set them aside while building the background.

Let’s Make an Easter Scene!
For the backdrop, I used the Stitched Semi-Circle Dies to create a layered scene element. The stitched detail adds just the right amount of texture while framing the focal images beautifully. I chose a pink patterned paper from the Classic Sunburst 6×6 paper pack to create a gorgeous Easter sky. To create a grassy meadow for the lambs to sit on, I chose a green piece of the Sunburst paper and used the opposite side which has a checkered pattern.
I also cut the Stitched Semi-Circle from the center of a white cardstock panel, and then ran that panel through Spellbinders Sun Rays embossing folder. This continues the pattern reflected in the pink sky.
The semi-circle shape works wonderfully as a stage for the scene. I placed the fencing towards the top of the green background, leaving room for the lambs and basket in front of it. This simple layout makes the characters stand out while still giving the card a dimensional feel.
Let’s Create a Greeting!
To finish the card, I added a cheerful Easter sentiment, piecing together words from Woolly Friends stamp set. These were stamped onto a die cut Brilliant Banner 2. I love how the curve of the banner fits across the top opening of the Stitched Semi-Circle!

Let’s Summarize!
What I love most about this design is how easy it is to customize. You can change the cardstock colors, add extra stamped elements, or even build a larger scene using additional dies. The Woolly Friends stamps pair beautifully with the Stitched Semi-Circle Dies, making them a fun combination for spring cards, Easter greetings or any cute little scene! I used these dies for a cute Christmas card that I previously posted: I’m a Sucker for Gingerbread…
I hope you’ve enjoyed my sweet Easter card today!
Until next time,
~Krista
