Hello friends! Today I’m sharing a card that feels like pure autumn elegance with gold-stitched pumpkin tops nestled into a leafy backdrop. This design combines the cozy vibes of fall with a touch of sparkle, making it just right for sending seasonal cheer.
I began with the September Stitching Die of the Month, cutting the pumpkin tops from warm cardstock and adding metallic gold thread through each stitch. The shimmer of the stitching catches the light beautifully and instantly elevates the pumpkins from simple shapes to eye-catching focal points.

For the backdrop, I embossed a soft yellow panel with the Linen 3D folder, then layered it with a scalloped oval in vanilla, lightly splattered with ink for added texture. Around this focal point, I scattered die-cut leaves in warm shades of green, orange, and amber, creating a rich, autumnal frame for the stitched pumpkins. To complete the scene, a few brown acorns are nestled among the pumpkins, adding depth and an extra touch of seasonal charm. I love that Spellbinders included the leaves and acorns with the Stitched Pumpkin Top Dies!
To wrap things up, I die-cut the sentiment “hello gourd-geous” with the coordinating pumpkin top dies. It’s the perfect finishing touch—fun, versatile, and full of autumn elegance!

This card is a reminder that sometimes a simple motif—like pumpkins—can be transformed into something truly special with just a bit of stitching and sparkle. I can’t wait to send this one off to a friend with a cozy fall greeting inside.

There’s something so soothing about sitting down to stitch a little die-cut piece. The steady rhythm of the needle and thread helps quiet my mind and gives me a sense of calm in the middle of a busy, stressful world.
I love that these small stitched designs can then be added to a card, turning a peaceful moment of creating into something I can share with someone else. Stitching dies give me both comfort while making them and joy in knowing they’ll brighten someone’s day.
In addition to today’s card, I first shared the Stitched Pumpkin Top Dies in my post titled “September’s Clubs are Ripe for the Picking”. I hope I’ve inspired you to fall in love with this month’s club. There’s something exciting about receiving craft supplies in the mail! 🙂
Until next time,
~Krista
