Crisp leaves, golden hues, and cozy vibes—Autumn Archives has everything you need to capture the magic of fall in your crafting. With Changing Trees and Falling Leaves die sets, this new Kelly Bangs collection from Spellbinders is easy to fall in love with!

Fall in love with Changing Trees Dies
For today’s first card, I chose some gorgeous Ink Drops-Dusk paper from Craft Consortium, and with the Changing Trees dies, I cut the tree tops. The marbling in these papers gives my trees a wispy, delicate look.
From shiny gold foiled paper, I cut out the intricate tree trunks and branches, placing them over the marbled tree tops.
Let’s create a scene..
For the background of my card, I created a gently sloping hillside with the use of Lawn Fawn’s Simple Stitched Hillside Borders Dies. I used Distress Oxide ink, Tea Dye, to softly ink blend the panel and then splattered the piece with several earth toned paints.
To create the sky, I ran a vanilla panel through the Dimpled 3D embossing folder, adding subtle texture. This versatile folder is quickly becoming one of my go-to favorites!
Putting it all together, I arranged the trees across the front of the card and glued them into place.
Add a time-saving sentiment…
The Birthday Wishes Sentiment was created with the BetterPress Letterpress System. This clever set includes nine sentiments on a single plate, plus one die that cuts them all out in a single pass—such a fantastic time-saver! I used one for this card and tucked the other eight away for future projects.

Fall in Love with Falling Leaves Dies
I wanted this second card to coordinate with the first, so I again reached for the Ink Drops–Dusk Craft Consortium paper to die-cut the leaves using the Falling Leaves set. After cutting the stems from shiny gold cardstock, I assembled the leaves into place.
Never waste cardstock…
After die cutting the hillside for the first card, I saved the remaining piece and used it for this card. After running it through the 3D Dimpled Embossing Folder, I lightly ink splattered it. I just love how a few ink splatters can really enhance a card!
After allowing the splatters to dry, I adhered the panel in portrait position onto a Cinnamon ColorWheel Cardstock base.

Next, I grabbed a spool of metallic gold thread, pulling off approximately 1 yard. I wadded it up, (literally!) laid it onto the card base, and used foam dots to pop up the leaves over the thread. The foam dots are enough to hold the messy thread in place, which gives the card an airy, flowing feel when coupled with the Falling Leaves. Brass colored sequins are sprinkled around the leaves, bringing some extra sparkle to this simple card.
I used one of the saved Birthday Wishes Sentiments from the previous card, popping it up towards the bottom of the card.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this peek at some of the products from Spellbinders Autumn Archives Collection.
Until next time,
~Krista
