Critters Celebrate the Holidays
For this week’s Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #209: Critters Celebrate the Holidays, I created a cheerful winter scene using some of my favorite Lawn Fawn sets. I wanted the card to feel bright, playful, and a little unexpected, so I chose a fun color palette of yellow, purple, and blue—a fresh twist on traditional winter hues!

I’m also playing along with Creative Inspirations Challenge- Wrapped Up in Winter.

Stamps & Dies I Used
To build my scene, I combined several Lawn Fawn stamp sets:
- Snowball Fight — for the energetic, snow-tossing critters
- Simply Celebrate Hangouts — perfect for completing the scene
- Simply Celebrate Critters — for that cute little row of mice
- Christmas in the Desert — for the Santa hats, gift and candy cane
- Simply Celebrate Winter Critters Add-On — for the word bubble sentiments

For the landscape, I used two die sets:
The top edges from the Stitched Hillside dies have a fine line of Stickles Glitter Glue added to look like glistening snow.
Building the Scene
I blended a soft winter sky with Squeezed Lemonade and Dried Marigold Distress Oxide inks for a glowing, whimsical feel. The stitched mountains and snowy hills create a wintery backdrop, giving my critters lots of space for snowball mischief.

Each part of the scene was colored with Ohuhu Alcohol Markers to match the palette—shades of lavender, golden yellow, and icy blue—to keep the entire card coordinated but still lively and fun. The mice were colored with Copic Alcohol Markers in W0, W1, W3 & W4.
The finished card feels festive, joyful, and full of movement—exactly the spirit of this challenge! You can see one of my previous Lawn Fawn challenge cards here!
Wrapped Up for the Holidays
This was such a fun card to create, and I loved mixing so many cute Lawn Fawn sets to celebrate the holidays in a fresh color combo. I’m excited to join these challenges and can’t wait to see what everyone else creates!
As we enter this Thanksgiving week, I wish you a very happy turkey day! May you eat until you’re happily stuffed 🙂
Until next time,
~Krista
