Happy Valentines Day to all of you, my crafty friends! I’ve been playing with some new products from the ever-so-creative Mendi at Sunny Studios Stamps. When I saw the new Baked with Love stamp set and Icing Rectangle Frames Dies, I just HAD to place an order and I’m so glad I did! A frosted cookie can make any day sweeter!
Card One: A Batch Made in Heaven
I started by stamping several of the heart-shaped cookies from the Baked With Love set on white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then reached for my Ohuhu Alcohol Markers and kept my color palette soft and Valentine-inspired — think blush pinks, warm reds, and a touch of creamy brown for that freshly-baked look. After coloring them in with alcohol markers, I added a little white gel pen detail to mimic icing highlights as well as a bit of Ranger’s Stickles Glitter Glue in Diamond for some sugary sparkle. Finally, the chocolate swirl on the top right cookie was glazed with Nuvo Crystal Drops.

The red card base is A2 sized, measuring 5.5″ x 4.25″, making a nice backdrop for the white icing.
To frame the design, I used the largest Icing Rectangle Frames dies, cutting it from white cardstock. I saved the inner panel, and ink blended it with Distress Oxide Inks in Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry. It was then adhered inside the white icing frame.

For the sentiment, I chose one of the punny greetings from the set (because cookie puns are basically mandatory 🍪). It was stamped directly onto the ink blended background using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and is centered under the cookie sheet.
I added a red checkered oven mitt to the bottom left corner of the cookie sheet, popping it up with foam tape for added dimension. I also popped up a spatula along the right side.
The result? A delicious and cheerful Valentine card that would be perfect for anyone who deserves a little handmade sweetness.
Card Two: You’re My Favorite Cookie
For my second card, I decided to go a bit simpler with only one background layer and a small Icing Rectangle Frame, cut from red cardstock. Within the frame, I ink blended a section very lightly with Tea Dye Distress Oxide Ink, which would become the backdrop for the cookies. Ink blending is easy if you’ve got the right brushes and these are the ones I use.

For the focal point, I stamped and colored three heart shaped cookies, arranging them in a row within the icing frame. I added glittery accents to the icing for that realistic sugar-cookie shine (and let it dry completely — patience is key!).

To finish off the card, I pieced together the sentiment using stamps from Sunny Studio Stamps: Super Duper (retired) and Baked with Love, which reads “You’re My Favorite Cookie”. This was stamped directly onto the card base with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
Final Thoughts
I had so much fun creating these two Valentine cards using the Baked With Love stamp set and Icing Rectangle Frames Dies. I love how versatile the images are — you can go clean and simple or layered and detailed, depending on your mood.
If you love baking themes, heart imagery, and sweet little punny sentiments, these products are definitely worth adding to your crafty stash.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope these projects inspire you to get inky and spread a little handmade love this Valentine’s Day. If you’re in need of more inspiration, please see my previous posts: Love is Sweet and A Mole Lot of Love.
