There’s just something magical about rainbows, so I HAD to make another card for the latest Lawnfawnatics Challenge #215– “All Things Rainbow”! I created an interactive card that combines bright, cheerful color with a playful surprise inside.

The focus of this card is the Magic Iris interactive window, which opens when the recipient moves the arrowed handle downwards. Here’s a video, so that you can see it in action!
Isn’t that so amazing? I just LOVE it 🙂
I used the Magic Iris Add-On die to cut a stunning rainbow panel from a piece of Gleeful Gradients 6×6 paper. The smooth blend of colors makes the perfect backdrop for this challenge theme!
It’s a Bird… Surprise for All Things Rainbow!
I used Lawn Fawn’s It’s a Bird stamp set for the mice and birds, while the tree branches came from Fangtastic Friends. The coloring was done with Ohuhu Alcohol Markers.
I cut a grassy, green hill with Simple Stitched Hillside Borders Dies. This created a natural place for the mice to stand while birdwatching. I stamped and cut two word bubbles with All the Word Bubbles. The sentiments are from It’s a Bird, while the “tweet”, “chirp” and “peep” words are from Winter Birds stamp set. I love how the bird sentiments add so much sweetness to the card!

Magic Iris…an Easy Assemble
This was my first-ever Magic Iris card, as I recently bought the dies from a Buy/Sell/Trade group that I follow. After watching Lawn Fawn’s instructional video, I was able to assemble this card very easily! At first, I thought it might be hard to do, but that was not the case, and the card went together without any problems. Kudos to Lawn Fawn for their fabulous videos and products 🙂
With multiple “add-on” sets for the Magic Iris, I know I’ll be adding at least a few of them to my collection! I’ve got my eye on the Snowflake Add-On and Snowglobe dies. Can you believe that I’m already thinking about Christmas?!?
Summing up: It’s A Rainbow Challenge…
This was my second entry for the All Things Rainbow card challenge, and you can see my first entry in this previous post. It is also an interactive card which I just adore! I hope you do, too. 🙂
Until next time,
~Krista
