Introducing Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up!
Stampin’ Up! has some fabulous new designer paper and the catalog doesn’t do it justice. Because it is white paper with white embossing, there’s little to see until some magical sponging happens. You can see a small piece of this paper matted on top of the Night of Navy scalloped square. It was sponged with Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz and Bermuda Bay, making a beautiful background for the silver foil flower. How does it work? When you sponge a water-based ink over the embossed areas of the paper, the embossing resists the ink, leaving a contrasting white image! All of the Stampin’ Up! Classic ink pads are water-based, so you can create customized designer paper by simply rubbing an inked sponge over it. How incredible is that?

Looking for more inspiration?
Maybe the colors I used above are not your cup of tea. That’s okay! I made the same card with different color combinations so that you could see how versatile this card layout and the specialty paper really is. Please let me know which one you like best. I’d love your feedback even if you love all of them!
Colors used in the above picture: Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo and Whisper White, with the center flower in Silver Foil. In the photo below, I used Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Island Indigo. The center flower is Gold Foil paper.
But wait! There’s still a couple more…This next one is done in Smokey Slate, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White with a Dazzling Diamonds center flower.
And finally, lest you get bored, I changed this last one up a bit and used Birthday Fiesta in place of Falling Flowers. The colors used are: Emerald Envy, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise and Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper.
By now you should be able to see the versatility of this card layout as well as some fun color combinations using the Irresistibly Floral Designer Series Paper. I’d love to hear some feedback…which one is your favorite or do you love them all?
I hope you stamp today!
