Blessings from Heaven 12×12 Scrapbook Layout

Blessings from Heaven 12x12 Scrapbook Layout

I have been blessed with four beautiful grandchildren and have two more on the way, so this Blessings from Heaven 12×12 scrapbook layout will have pictures of my little loves on it!

To make these pages, I started with two sheets of Soft Sky card stock measuring 12×12 each.  Using a 3” strip of designer paper across the top of each page, I then cut four of the new Pearlized Doilies in half and added them below which created a sort of lacy border.

The flowers are stamped with the May Flowers stamp set & then cut out with the Falling Flowers framelits.

The card stock colors used are Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Peekaboo Peach, Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green.

The title letters are cut out with an old Sizzix die set.

Watercolored Falling Flowers

Falling Flowers for Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #58, by Krista Thomas, www.regalstamping.com

I was inspired to make this card when I saw the sketch challenge over at Stamp Ink Paper.

These watercolored Falling Flowers are bright and fun, making this a great card to send someone who needs cheering up.

It was simpler than you might think!  I used Stampin’ Up!’s Classic inks to stamp the various images from Falling Flowers and then used a blender pen to pull the stamped ink into the petals.  The ink colors which were stamped on Whisper White card stock are Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Pacific Point.  Be careful not to overwork the blender pen or your paper will start to get fuzzy.

Once everything was water-colored, I then cut them out with their coordinating framelits, May Flowers, and then used Lots of Labels Framelits to create the white background label.

On the background of the card is a piece of Brights Designer Series Paper in Tempting Turquoise, cut in half so that I could use both sides of the paper.  For the sentiment, I used a saying from Best Birds and stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Finally the label is topped off with a white baker’s twine bow.

Thanks for stopping by!

I hope you stamp today…

Introducing Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up!

Stampin’ Up! has some fabulous new designer paper and the catalog doesn’t do it justice.  Because it is white paper with white embossing, there’s little to see until some magical sponging happens.  You can see a small piece of this paper matted on top of the Night of Navy scalloped square.  It was sponged with Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz and Bermuda Bay, making a beautiful background for the silver foil flower.  How does it work? When you sponge a water-based ink over the embossed areas of the paper, the embossing resists the ink, leaving a contrasting white image!  All of the Stampin’ Up! Classic ink pads are water-based, so you can create customized designer paper by simply rubbing an inked sponge over it.  How incredible is that?
