Getting an early start…

Joyful Nativity Gate Fold Technique by Krista Thomas, www.regalstamping.com all products copyright Stampin' Up!

I promised in my last post that I would be sharing some more Christmas projects, so here’s another.  This one is a Gate Fold card that was made using This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper and Joyful Nativity stamp set. If you have a long holiday card list, you’ll really appreciate this pack of DSP because there are four of each design, making it easy to duplicate a card many times.

The Gate Fold technique is easy enough to do.  Simply start with an 8.5″ x 5.5″ piece of card stock.  In this case, I used Cherry Cobbler.  On the 8.5″ side, score at 2 1/8″ then rotate 90 degrees (or flip the card end to end) and score at 2 1/8″ again.  Fold the ends towards each other and you have a Gate Fold.  For my card, I added the nativity scene which is glued to the left side, and then the sentiment which is glued to the right.

To finish the inside of the card, I cut a Very Vanilla panel to 5.25″ x 4″ and stamped JOY.  Inside of the “O” I stamped “Wishing You” which is from Holly Jolly Greetings.  You can see all of the details in the pictures below.
