I would love to look out my window and see this peaceful scene which I created using the Hearth & Home Thinlits Dies and the Happy Scenes stamp set, all by Stampin’ Up! The little fox is from the Jingle all the Way stamp set.
One of the things I love doing with the window frame is to cut it out in two colors (in this case, red & vanilla) and then trim the outside edges away on the vanilla piece. It’s easy to do, because the framelit impresses a detailed line all the way around, making an easy cutting line. Then I just glue the two pieces together.
I used Home for Christmas DSP (Designer Series Paper) for the background and Wondrous Wreath for the wreath which is cut in half to create a swag. One of my favorite non-Stampin’ Up! tools that I frequently use is the Jelly Roll Clear Star glitter pen and I used that to trace the edges of the wreath. It just adds a nice touch. I have heard that Stampin’ Up! will be offering the Wink of Stella glitter pen in the upcoming Spring “Occasions” catalog and I am jumping for joy!
