Traditional Holly Berry Happiness

GDP#054, Holly Berry Happiness, Wrapped in Warmth, Stampin' Up Holiday 2016-17 Catalog, by Krista Thomas, www.regalstamping.com

This card was designed for a recent Christmas workshop and it’s design is perfect for this week’s Global Design Project challenge #GDP054.  I chose to use This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper because of it’s traditional Christmas colors, making it a good choice to pair with the holly.  I stamped the holly in three steps.  First I used Early Espresso ink for the outline, then Garden Green for the leaves and finally Real Red for the berries.  The photopolymer stamps in Holly Berry Happiness are clear, making it easy to line up.  I chose a sentiment from Wrapped in Warmth and stamped it with Real Red ink.  Gold Glimmer Paper was used as an accent.

This week will be a quiet one for me as I don’t have any classes scheduled, and I will delve into my pile of new goodies from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday 2016-17 Catalog.  I am hoping to create some fun projects for my upcoming Christmas Stamp Camp but sometimes when I am not working under pressure, I simply cannot find my creative mojo.  Does anyone else have that problem?  I really hope that’s not the case this week, but if it is, then I guess I’ll switch gears and go work in the yard.  We’re suppose to have some beautiful weather in western Oregon and until the rain sets in, there’s much to be done outside.

I hope I’ll have some projects to share with you as the week progresses…
