Hello Fall Scrapbook Layout 12 x 12

Hello_fall_layout

I just love the color of Fall, don’t you? With Stampin’ Up!’s Vintage Leaves stamp set, recreating that look is easy. I sponged up a Very Vanilla piece of cardstock with Hello Honey, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry & Soft Suede and then stamped a variety of leaves on it using Early Espresso. I cut out the leaves with the coordinating Leaflet Framelits and presto, instant beauty!
The title “Hello Fall” was done with the Greetings Thinlits and a retired alphabet stamp set called Letter It.

I tore the Cajun Craze 12 x 12 cardstock diagonally with a retired Stampin’ Up! tool, The Cutting Edge and then “painted” the torn edge with a gold leafing pen.

Gold thread was used as an accent behind some of the leaf groupings and then some scattered gold sequins finished off the layout.

Happy Scenes / Autumn Colors

My favorite season is summer and I’m always kind of sad to say good-bye and welcome autumn in.  This year we’ve had a long HOT summer, so the cooler weather is sounding pretty good right now and I think I’m ready to welcome fall.

With the new Happy Scenes stamp set by Stampin’ Up, I was able to capture the look and feel of autumn with a sunset and the crisp leaves floating to the ground.  I imagine myself looking through the window while I’m sipping some hot spiced cider and enjoying the pumpkin patch view.  I used Prisma Colored Pencils to color the scene.  The background paper is from a retired DSP pack and the twine is also retired from Sale-a-Bration last year.

This new stamp set coordinates with the window framelit so you if you order it as a bundle, you save 15%.  Click on the Happy Scenes thumbnail picture at the end of this post and you’ll be taken straight to my store where you can purchase the bundle.

Whimsical Lighthearted Leaves Card

This is one of my new favorites from the Stampin’ Up Holiday Catalog, Lighthearted Leaves.  It is whimsical and has a “zentangle” look to it.  Not familiar with zentangle?  Look it up on Pinterest, it’s a doodling art form and very popular right now.

We are making this card in my Creative Card Design classes this week and I am having fun teaching it!  If you’re in the Roseburg Oregon area, come join me for a class.
