Christmas in July

Are you ready for Christmas?  It’s a long ways away, but crafters need time to get projects finished, so July and August are good months to get started.  Stampin’ Up! will release it’s Holiday Catalog in two short months and I’m positive it’s going to be full of fabulous products.  But if you’re one of those Christmas early bird crafters and you don’t want to wait until September to get started, then fear not.  The 2016-17 Annual Catalog has a Christmas section where you’re sure to find inspiration!  If you look beyond the designated Christmas section, and think outside the box a bit, you’ll find other stamps, such as this dove from Strength & Prayers, that are perfect for Christmas projects!

The challenge is on!

As a designer for the Creative Crew team on Split Coast Stampers, I was given the challenge of creating four Christmas projects for the July 2016 gallery found here.

Challenge #1: Create a card using the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate found on page 175 of the 2016-17 Stampin’ Up! annual catalog.  This wonderful product has a gold design on one side and then silver on the reverse. The dove is from Strength & Prayers (#141856) and although it isn’t a Christmas set, I love how it turned out!

Relax and stamp…

I started creating my challenge projects while we were camping in beautiful Charleston, Oregon, just steps from the Pacific Ocean. I could hear the waves and smell the salt air and I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed crafting more!  I’ll be sharing the rest of my Christmas challenges in the coming days, so stay tuned and thanks for visiting!

I hope you stamp today!
