Yee Haw Valentine, You’ve Got my Bloomin’ Heart!

Yee-Haw Valentine, Bloomin' Heart Thinlit, Stampin' Up! by Krista Thomas, www.regalstamping.com

As I was stamping up a storm in my craft room a few weeks ago, there was a piece of Typeset DSP on the table and I had this instant inspiration to make a grungy western-themed valentine.  I used a stamp from Timeless Textures which is in the Occasions 2016 Stampin’ Up! catalog, to grunge up the edges of the newsprint.  Then I added an elegant red heart that I made with the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlit.  Finally I used the Yee-Haw stamp set, recently retired, to finish off the card.  The words, arrow and cowboy hat are popped up with dimensionals to create some depth.  I like the simplicity of it!  What do you think?

Botanical Blooms with Bloomin’ Heart by Stampin’ Up!

Botanical_heart

I cannot seem to get enough of these two new Stampin’ Up! framelit bundles: Botanical Blooms (the flowers) & Bloomin’ Heart, which is that beautiful detailed heart.  For this card I combined them and came up with this pretty card which would be a great valentine card. The patterned paper is Love Blossoms DSP as shown in the supply list at the end of this post.

But then I tried changing up the colors and designer paper and got a completely different look, making this a wonderful any occasion card!  There are two more samples below, so take a peek…

For the above image, I used Pear Pizzazz as the card base, Wildflower Fields DSP for the triangle background (just cut a piece 4 x 5.25 then cut diagonally).  The flower is Calypso Coral, Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey.  The heart is Lost Lagoon while the solid heart in the background is Soft Sky.  I used the retired Stampin’ Up! Heart framelits for the solid heart.

And here’s another version of the first one with a different patterned paper, but still from the Love Blossoms DSP.

And finally, one more similar but different version that happened during class last night.  One gal decided to put her Rose Red panel (which was for the inside) onto the front of the card and it was stunning!  Thanks Erin!

So which one is your fave?
