Rose Wonder Sympathy, Stampin’ Up!

Sympathy_rose-1

It’s been a while since I last posted something because I was so busy with Christmas and the grandkids, but I’m back now and ready to hit the coming new year with a bang!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas with lots of family and friends around.

Today I am sharing a sympathy card using the new stamping bundle, Rose Wonder, from the new Stampin’ Up! Occasions 2016 Catalog. I have used it to make a variety of cards for weddings, birthdays, thinking of you, thank you and sympathy. It is timeless and elegant in it’s simplicity and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. It’s sort of like that little black dress that we probably all have in our closets!

To make this card, I cut out the rose/leaf thinlit on Whisper White card stock and using it as a stencil, I held it in place while I sponged over the top of it very carefully with So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz.  I removed the stencil and then used the splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge and some Mossy Meadow ink and stamped over the leaves.

I prefer to keep sympathy cards simple, so once I added the saying, I decided that it was enough.
