Playful Pals Party Elephant

Playful Pals Party Elephant with Balloon Adventures, Stampin' Up! and Pyramid Pals Framelits

I love this fun set of stamps and dies and was very sad to see it on the retiring list.  It will only be available for purchase while supplies last, up until May 31, 2017.  After that, it’s gone for good.  There are so many animals that can be designed with Playful Pals and this cute elephant is one of them!

I was inspired by a card on Pinterest that was made by Julie Kettlewell here.  She did a little jungle scene on her card, but I decided to make this one a party scene, complete with balloons.

Check out the inside of the card and then I’ll share how I made the tri-fold card base.  And yes, I accidentally smeared some yellow ink on the back of one ear.

Playful Pals, Pyramid Pals Party Elephant, Stampin' Up!

Doesn’t he have just the cutest little tush?!

If you’re wondering how I made the tri-fold card base, here are the details.  The window panel is Soft Suede and measures 4 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ with a score at 1/4″, parallel to the 5 1/4″ side.   I cut the window using a square framelit and then stamped both sides with the Hardwood background stamp inked with Early Espresso.   The little 1/4″ fold goes behind the left side of a  Wild Wasabi panel measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″.  The Wild Wasabi panel is then glued to the left inside of a Garden Green base cut at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and folded in half.

Don’t miss out on owning Playful Pals (the stamps) & Pyramid Pals (the framelits).  You can order your own just by clicking on the pictures below, which will take you to my Stampin’ Up store.  If you have kids, they’ll love creating their own little creatures!  And if you want it for yourself, that’s okay too.  I’m enabling you!
