Stampin’ Up is Brilliant!
When I first opened the Oh So Eclectic bundle of stamps and dies, I started oohing and aahing over the brilliant ingenuity of Stampin’ Up! I just love working for such a wonderful company!! Those little dies have been designed to nest within each other, giving us versatility galore. You can cut just the outline, just the detail, or nest them and get both in one Big Shot pass! To make this subtle but interesting floral background, I simply nested the two flower dies together and cut a bunch of them to cover the card.
An Oh So Eclectic background
When I showed this card at a recent workshop, the ladies all asked how I had embossed the background. Not embossed, just die cut flowers glued down! Pretty cool looking, huh? And the easiest way to glue detailed pieces down is to lay them on a silicone mat and run a dotted tape runner over the back side. Easy as pie!
The stamped images that fill in the outline are made to look uneven, in a watercolor sort of way. Did you notice how the Fresh Fig flower is darker at the edges and center? So are the Flirty Flamingo flowers…that’s exactly how they’re suppose to stamp. So when you order your set and begin to stamp, just know that it’s made to look “splotchy”. If you want to order yours now, simply click on the product picture below which will take you to my Stampin’ Up store.
Happy stamping, everyone!
