Another Christmas Stamp Camp project…

While Thanksgiving is less than a week away, stampers everywhere have been in Christmas mode for several months now.  It takes time to make a hand made card, starting with the design process.  Sometimes I have an idea in my head but I can’t seem to make it work on paper.  That was the case with this card featuring the moose from Jolly Friends stamp set.  I was stewing over my original finished project, not loving it, when my friend Jen G. stopped by.  Sometimes having fresh eyes on something really helps.  She jumped right in and starting suggesting things.  Many of them I vetoed, some we tried and then discarded and finally it all came together.  So this card was a joint effort and I love it!  Thanks for your help, Jen!

How to change a mouse into a moose…

One of my wishes for this card was the saying “Merry Christmoose”, but I didn’t want to use a time-consuming alphabet set to spell it out and I know my stamp camp attendees appreciated that!  I had one of those ah-ha moments when I realized that by using the “Merry Christmouse” stamp from Merry Mice, and changing the “u” to an “o” using a red marker, my problem was solved.  Quick and easy!

The wreath was cut with Wonderful Wreath framelits out of silver foil paper and then embossed with a retired embossing folder, Petals a Plenty.  With the exception of that folder, everything else I used is currently available and can be ordered by clicking on the product pictures below.  You will be taken to my store where you can shop for all of your stamping needs.  If you don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I’d love to be yours.  Let me know if I can answer any of your stamping questions.

Thanks for stopping by today!
