Hello Dear Friend

Today I am sharing a card that I made with two different challenges in mind.  The first challenge is for Global Design Project, challenge #GDP075…which requires a winged creature(s) on the card.

The second challenge came from The Paper Players, Clean & Simple Challenge #332, having the sentiment as the focal point of the card.

To combine this card into two challenges, I started with some 1/2″ strips of Rich Razzleberry, Night of Navy and Delightful Dijon card stock, gluing them diagonally across a 2″x 4″ piece of Very Vanilla.

Next, I used a die from the Timeless Tags Thinlits and cut out the tiny little butterflies which are glued to the striped background.  “Hello” was cut using the Hello You Thinlits and Gold Glimmer Paper.  The stamped sentiment is from Birthday Blooms stamp set.

The butterflies are small enough so as not to steal the show, leaving the sentiment “hello, dear friend” as the focal point of my card.  I hope you like it!

  1. Super cute Krista. So glad you showcased those tiny butterflies! I’m off to look them up as I’ve never noticed them before. Thanks so much for taking part in this week’s Global Design Project.
