I always love purple on a Christmas card. It’s a color for royalty and in that sense is quite fitting for Christmas. I am not usually a “Santa” lover and feel that Christ should be at the center of Christmas, but this Santa from Father Christmas spoke to my nostalgia and I couldn’t resist the stamp set.
When I was a little girl, we always went to church on Christmas Eve and then came home to discover that Santa had visited while we were gone. My grandparents often made the trip from California to spend the holiday with us, and I knew that they had played the role of Santa while we were at church. It was always magical even though I “knew”.
I used two retired colors on this card, Blackberry Bliss and Lucky Limeade. The card itself is a current In Color, Sweet Sugarplum. Santa was colored with PrismaColor Pencils, my very favorite coloring medium.
