Happy Birthday on Burlap, a Clean & Simple Card

Happy Birthday with Daisy Delight & Burlap background

Today I am sharing a daisy card which we made in my Clean & Simple classes this past week.  The background features the large Burlap stamp which is placed diagonally and stamped with Crumb Cake ink on a panel of the same color.  I love the fringed edges of this stamp!

The daisy is stamped twice on white card stock in Night of Navy ink with a Crushed Curry center and then punched out and layered together.  I placed a Stampin’ Dimensional between the two flowers to give it some depth.

The Happy Birthday die is cut twice, once with Night of Navy, the other with Daffodil Delight and then they are offset, allowing for a shadow effect.  A few gold sequins finish off the card.

I hope you like it!  If you need any of the products to make this card, simply click on a product picture below and you’ll be taken to my Stampin’ Up store where you can shop to your hearts content!  And thank you in advance!

Happy stamping…

Delightful Pocket of Daisies

When I was a little girl, my sister and I would play outside and pick the flowers growing in the yard and then give them to our mom who would proudly place them in a vase.  I’m pretty sure there were times when those flowers got tucked into our jacket pockets while we continued playing, only to be found later when they were thrown into the wash.  We learned early on that mom didn’t like finding things in our pockets and that we were to check them before throwing the clothing in the laundry.

We lived in a small town that I would consider to be country living, (or pretty darn close to it!), so  I wanted this card to have a country feel to it.

Bandana Daisy Delight, Stampin' Up!

I used the Paisleys & Posies stamp set with Cherry Cobbler ink on Real Red card stock to create a bandana-looking background. The Soft Sky pocket was cut out with a die from the Pocket Framelit Dies, complete with side flaps that are glued down so that you really end up with a pocket to tuck things into!

I stamped the daisies (from Daisy Delight) on Daffodil Delight card stock with Night of Navy ink and then punched them out the the Daisy punch. Did you know that this punch is Stampin’ Up’s most popular punch in 5 years? It’s so popular that they haven’t been able to keep it in stock for any length of time since the new 2017-18 catalog started!  More are coming into the warehouse soon, so you’ll be able to get one….if you don’t blink!

Thanks for stopping by today!
