This Triple Fold technique is a fun way to use coordinating designer paper for a colorful “wow” factor. With just 3 score lines, it’s easy and fun to make. Let’s get started!
Cut a Soft Suede panel measuring 12″ x 5 1/2″.
Score along the 12″ side at 1 3/4″, 4 3/4″ & 7 3/4″.
The first score line is a valley fold, then mountain, then valley. Your card base is now ready to be decorated!
You will need three pieces of designer (printed) paper to decorate the card base. The measurements are:
Front section- 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″
Middle section- 2 3/4″ x 5 1/4″
Back section- 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ and a white panel measuring 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″. This white panel will be where you stamp your sentiment.
The card will be held shut with a belly band, so you’ll need two pieces of paper measuring:
1 1/4″ x 11″ (card stock)
1″ x 11″ (designer paper)
Glue the 1″ strip onto the 1 1/4″ strip and then somewhat loosley wrap it around the card, overlapping the ends and gluing them together.
Stamp the coffee cup pieces and assemble, gluing it to the belly band at the front of the card.
Slide the belly band off of the card and finish embellishing the inside of the card as desired.
I can’t start my day without a cup of coffee. Don’t even talk to me until I’ve had a cup! It took my husband a long time to learn this and while he now knows it, he sure doesn’t understand it. He has joked that I should just hook up to an I-V filled with coffee! Nope, it’s the flavor and smell that I love…an I-V won’t work!
This coffee card features a background of the lovely Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper, and yes, those are metallic polka dots in Soft Sky! It’s so much prettier in real life! There are three other foil colors in this pack besides the Soft Sky…there’s Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and Tangerine Tango. All are simply gor-ge-ous!!
Then I used a piece of Bundle in Love Designer Series Paper behind the coffee cup. The words are stamped in Crumb Cake ink on Very Vanilla card stock and then I pieced in the three words that are stamped with Early Espresso ink on Soft Sky card stock.
If you love coffee the way that I do, you’ve might need the Coffee Cafe Bundle so that you can make your own coffee cards. I see myself buying a lot of coffee stand gift cards in the future as a great way to say “thank you”, complete with a hand-made card!

My life is full of coffee lovers (including myself!), so I had to order the Coffee Cafe Bundle (#145331 ) as soon as it was available. I also had to have the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper because the colors in it really speak to me and I just fell in love with it at first glance!
Wood Crate with Coffee Cafe
The inside of this card is where the magic happens. I made a crate using the new Wood Crate Framelit (#143730), stamping it with Hardwood (#133035), cutting out the bottom sections of the crate before assembling and then adhering it to the inside of the card. It folds flat when you close the card and is put together similarly to the “card in a box” technique which became popular over the past couple of years.
I glued a section of a punched circle next to the crate and used it as a pocket for a gift card.
Here’s another picture. The images inside the crate are cut from the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper (#144155).
I hope you like this card and will find time to make your own! If you need any of the products, just click on one of the pictures below which will take you to my Stampin’ Up store.
