Ocean & Coffee Theme Framed Art

I have been busy getting ready for my upcoming framed art classes and I’m thrilled at how excited everyone is to attend!  I’ve already shared the wine theme framed art in November and today I’ll be sharing the ocean & coffee themes, along with some updated pictures of the wine theme. So much fun and it’s all on a 12 x 12 canvas!

If you’d like to purchase a finished piece to call your own, just head on over to my Etsy store here.

If you love the ocean and walking on the beach, then you’re a lot like me and you’ll understand my inspiration for this beach themed art.  One of my favorite beaches in Oregon is Turtle Rock in Gold Beach.  Maybe you can see from this picture how this beach got it’s name…and that’s me sharing my morning coffee 🙂

This rock formation is huge, so I am standing on a ledge in the foreground, which you cannot see, so that I could share my drink with Mr. Turtle.  Without that ledge, I couldn’t have even reached his chin!

The ocean & coffee…two of my favorite things!!

Now without further ado, here’s the framed art…

I had so much fun pulling out lots of different stamp sets and accessories to create these pieces.

Here are a couple more updated pictures of the wine frames that I shared in November.

Birthday Delivery: May All Your Wishes Come True

It feels like ages since my last post over a month ago.  My husband and I went camping in May and I thought I’d be able to do some blogging from our campground, but the wifi signal left much to be desired.  Once we got home, I guess I just lost my mojo for a bit, but I’m back now and ready to share some of the new products from the 2017-18 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.

Birthday Delivery includes a hidden gem!

There are several “hidden gems” in this new catalog, one of which is the  Birthday Delivery Bundle (#145294) which includes the stamp set, framelits and Designer Series Paper (DSP), “Birthday Friends”.  The framelits are designed to cut out some of the images in the DSP, as well as the stamped images. In the picture below, everything above the red line is cut from the DSP.  Below the red line are the stamped images which coordinate with the framelits.  I was thrilled to discover this hidden gem and will be ordering extra packages of the DSP so that I never run out!

The rest of the images in the DSP are easy enough to fussy cut with scissors and should not be overlooked, because they’re adorable and can make some wonderful additions to your projects.  The card I’m showing you today features one of the poodles that was fussy cut, along with a kitten from the Pretty Kitty stamp set (#141864).

Our black lab, Luke, loves to chase cats out of our yard, so he was my inspiration for this card.  All I have to do is tell him “You better check the perimeter” and he runs out the doggy door  and scans the yard for intruders.  I think the neighbor’s cat loves to taunt him by walking along the top of the fence where Luke can’t get him!  Unfortunately he doesn’t know the difference between kitties and skunks and has gotten sprayed several times.  Peee-yewwww!

The tree branch is from Seasonal Layers Thinlits (#143751) and the sentiment “may all your wishes come true” is from Bright Wishes (#143827).

I hope you enjoy this hidden gem from the new catalog!
